Russia is very huge country. It has really big size! So there're many different kinds of territory which differ in climate, nature and etc. In every area there're many sights, so in every area ther's a special type of tourism. One of these areas is Primorski krai, where Nadia and I live.

Our city is Vlaivostok. Populated with 700,000 citizens, Vladivostok faces the Sea of Japan as the largest city in Far East Russia. Elegant style of Pre-Revolution architectures decorates the city that is called "San Francisco of the East". Developed as naval station, though, dissolution of the Soviet Union resulted in opening the city and has prompted current transformation. there are many places to visit, such as museum named by Arsenev, submarine, square of fighter for justice, Botanic garden, Naberegnaya, dolphinarium, culture museum, aquanarium and etc. We will just describe you some of them.

Firstly, we'd like to tell you about our famous museum named by Arsenev. You can see there different kind of art, like pictures and sculptures. It's like gallery of modern Russian art and every month they change. Also there you can find traditional Russian costumes, huts (it's small building, where Russian people lived many centuries ago), taditional musical instruments, old money; wooden spoons, plates with traditional Russian patterns and other things which were used in old Russian everyday life. Sometimes there you can see performances of traditional Russian dances like horovod and singing traditional Russian songs like Katusha. Also you can see there scarecrows of different types of animals, birds which are living in Russia, such as brown bear, fox, gray hear, tiger, eagle and etc., and there are scarecrows and pictures of sea animals like walrus, seal and etc.

The second step of introduction with Vladivostok is dolphinarium. It's situated near the downtown of the city. It is like a platform which is swimming on the surface of open sea and inside it you have opportunity to see the dolphins. They are trained, so you may do some photos where dolphins can even kiss you.

The third place is aquaanarium. It's situated near the dolphinarium. There're many different kinds of fish which are living in Japan sea.

The next is Naberegnaya. It's the central street in our city. Vladivosok is one of the biggest ports in Russia, so it specializes in sea products. On this street there's a fish market, where you can buy any sea products that was caught in Japan sea.

Also we want to tell you about the most beautiful architecture building, it's named Triumph's arch. The history of building this arch in our city is very exciting, that's why not only Vladivostok citizens but guests of our city visit that. The reason of making such wonderful arch was arriving the last Russian emperor to Vladivostok in the beginning of 20th century. The Russian emperor took part in opening this architecture building and put the last break. But during the 2nd World War Triumph's arch was destroyed and all facts that could show everybody that the Russian emperor was there were lost. But later our government decided to restore the arch. Nowadays Triumph's arch is the most popular place among all people. And also we want to add that walls of arch have various pictures. We think it is worth seeing that.

You will have a chance to enjoy the best view of Vladivostok from the top of the Eagle's Nest (Orlinoye Gnezdo) Hill, the highest point of the city (214 m, or 702 feet). See the fascinating panorama of Golden Horn, Amursky, and Ussuriisky Bays and Russian Island. On to the Commercial Port, Fishing Port, docks, and sea terminals. The famous with its main attraction, beluga whales, will be your last stop.

One more important place that can be useful and interesting for people who can't imagine their life without flower is Botanic garden. We recommended you to go there in autumn because you see many various colors of trees, flowers such as light blue fur tree, Russian birch tree, poplin and etc.

We can continue our list of places to visit in Vladivostok because as you know, every city has some special advantages. As for our city it's surrounded by sea, it's situated on the East of Russia, it has many acient and unordinary buildings. I think it's enough reasons to enjoy visiting places in Vladivostok.
