Overview
The EATOF is an international tourism organization established in 2000 by ten local governments in East Asia, with Gangwon State taking a leading role. As the only cooperative body in tourism among East Asian provincial governments, it strives to foster a regional tourism community and provide a solid platform for unity and collaboration.
Through the collective efforts of its member provinces, EATOF has expanded its membership, strengthened the foundation for sustainable cooperation, and promoted active exchanges among its members. Currently, ten provincial governments from ten countries participate in the Federation, and the EATOF Secretariat is located in Gangwon State, Republic of Korea.
Through the Standing Committee Meeting held annually and the General Assembly convened biennially, the ten East Asian member provincial governments come together to share tourism policies and best practices, enhance mutual exchange, and promote sustainable tourism development across the region.
